January Is School Board Recognition Month |
|
Strong schools = Strong communities
Thank you school board!

HUDSON AREA SCHOOL BOARD
Seated: President Rex Murphy, Vice President John Enerson, Treasurer Michael Borton, Secretary Marsha Evenson. Standing: Trustee Ed Engle, Trustee Wes Rowan, Trustee Jerry Price.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, commited individuals can change the world; indeed it's the only thing that ever has." Margaret Meade
As citizen leaders, individual school board members face complex and demanding challenges. They are alternately described as having the most important volunteer jobs in the country and facing the toughest challenge in elected American government. Yet school board members are just ordinary citizens with extraordinary dedication to our nation’s public schools. All Michigan citizens should recognize the vital contributions of these men and women and the crucial role these elected public officials play in the education of our children.

Dr. Michael Osborne, Superintendent of Hudson Area Schools, is pleased to announce a new program to recognize and honor alumni, employees, and major contributors to Hudson Area Schools. The Hall of Fame Awards program is designed to acknowledge those people that have distinguished themselves for their contributions in scholarships, athletics, activities, career and community service.
“This program provides a great opportunity for us to award those individuals whose actions epitomize the district’s vision and mission, and who serve as role models for our students and for our community, “ Dr. Osborne said. “I can’t think of a better way to thank someone for their contributions to Hudson Area Schools than to permanently and publicly acknowledge their efforts and thank them for their service.”
